The Rise Phoenix performance is about the transformation of the phoenix through the power of fire. She is the creation and destruction. The death and the rebirth. Through the fire she becomes the light.
A part of the opening section comes as an honoring to the fire, through the Goddess Pele. I use Hawaiian Chant, combined with some classical style piano interpretations for an interesting introduction to the fire. This particular Hawaiian Chant is used to call on the Goddess Pele at the beginning of ceremony as an honor to the goddess.
